My local cinema is showing a bunch of classics and it's fantastic.

Saw Predator there the other week - SO GOOD!

Love it when they do this. Mine had 'Close Encounter of the Third Kind' last year but I missed it. Would love to see those old style special effects on the big screen.

Had a bit of a run of poor movies lately but then a couple of good ones consumed last week, Fishermans Friends and Greyhound. Greyhound was outstanding.

Went to see Tenet. Only me and another person in the theatre. I wish I had saved my $12 or whatever it was.

The idea looks interesting. It might really be worth going to this movie

Parasite is a great movie. Never been a fan of Boon Joon Ho's movies so this is the first one I really enjoyed.

We went with friends to the movies for the first time in many months.

Six people in the cinema, four of us, and two single ladies.

There wasn't much on, so we saw Lucky Grandma. It was touted as "outrageously hilarious" and it had favourable reviews, but it has to be the absolutely WORST movie I think we've seen for a long while (even before Covid put a stop to regular movies). After it was over, we all realised that nobody enjoyed it. I was hoping someone would whack her so we could leave.

Main character was totally unlikeable. I've seen some shockers in my time, but this has to be up there with the worst. We will never get that two hours back.

    Avoid at all costs.

I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this, but the cinemas around my area barely have any new movies and just repeating old movies. Is this happening elsewhere? Frustrating, as I also have cinema vouchers I need to use up.

Same here. But there's nothing to show anyway so it's not really their fault. No new movies have really come out since Tenet.

Following the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad.

A shady legal guardian lands in hot water when she tries to bilk a woman who has ties to a powerful gangster.

I only just watched Phantom Thread recently even though it came out in 2017 and loved it.

I put it off for a while as I thought PT Andeson's last movie was boring (The Master) but Phantom Thread was so good.
