So I'm guessing as you only just saw it come out of the wave before fade to black and never saw him get it to the beach that he drowned the bike and dumped a load of oil and fuel over the reef?

It was robbie Maddison and they couldn't find him after he got wiped out but eventually they found him and his bike. Yes there would be a bit of pollution from the fuel and oil in to the water in Tahiti.

Did it lose oil and fuel, has there been official comment or is it just malicious rumours??
There would be some but i think the feat out weighs a couple of litres.
In the credits it does say "no penguins were harmed during filming"

    All's well that ends well!

Adds new meaning to "Rusty Demons".

Can't see this taking off though? One crash and your bike gets drowned in salt water? Expensive hobbie. Even if you don't crash the bike would fall to bits in months from rust.

    See ya's.

Amazing footage - that guy is incredible. I watched it twice - thinking "surely this isn't real"

You think spilling oil over pristine reef is ok as long as it keeps the average mug entertained?
He could have just as easily done proof of concept (riding on water) in some polluted area with no reef in his own country.

average mug appears to be just about everyone. making the news and plenty of action on social media.

its not as if anyone else is going to go do it. and the rust buckets the locals use are probably dropping more oil on a daily basis, plus nothing has even been said about oil and fuel from his bike as far as i know
