So this is what Scott morrison believes should be the almost sole focus of his government:

He's such an irritating knob. A knob who somehow, despite his reductionism and some astoundingly long bows being drawn, manages to make an occasional good point (I stress, occasional).

ScoMo bashing seems to be a national pastime for some.

Half the stuff coming out of Albos mouth reinforces the fact he is a specialist opposition leader. Oh and he promises lots of stuff to sections of the community which I am not a part but my tax will help pay for.

    As always YMMV

ScoMo ain’t an angel either. Enough to remember all the money that flows to marginal seats. They are all two sides of the same coin.

I bet we are all benefiting from some taxes paid by someone who has is not part of our community. The tax money arguments are empty, only dead people are not benefiting from taxes paid by someone else. … I take that back. Even dead people are benefiting of taxes paid by someone who has nothing in common with them.

    The MY! taxes argument ….

Well, if anyone thinks the "Liberals" are in with a good shot, they're now paying $3.

Lots of your taxes goes to parts of the community and infrastructure you don't use ... just like lots of other people's taxes go towards parts of the community and infrastructure you do use ... it's called living on a community society

I don't understand what you mean.

It's like my fees going to pay for the fire department that, hopefully, I'll never use ... or my medicare helping to pay for someone's cancer treatment that I hopefully no one in my family with need ... if my taxes go to pay for an essential bridge out whoop whoop that I'll never visit ... or maintaining the local surf club in Bondi ... or building a swimming pool in Parramatta ...

I also don't think you know what "libertarian" means .... libertarianism | Definition, Philosophy, Examples, History, & Facts ... it means individualism politics, certainly not societal community

    p.s. we're in 2022 - get with the times ;)

Such as this @Lizzie. Patient pays $42.50 so no guesses who pays for the rest of the $4,249.07

It reads to me like @sanj was amazed by the “my taxes” line not the response to it. Perhaps a case of wrongly quoted post :D:D

Its almost necessary though. As much as I loathe Abbott, he was incredible as an opposition leader. Maybe its like a war - you don't necessarily want the person leading the fight to be the one in power afterwards. Might be better if we recognised the different qualities required - or perhaps the deputy leader should be the guns-blazing person.

Ah - suspect you're right as was surprised at the comment from Sanj. He meant it in reply to Shogun's comment
