    Hi,

I’m currently doing some research on Mortgage Syndicates.

I first came across them while reading one of @Big A 's threads.

I know some people are not keen on Mortgage Syndicates —I don’t fully understand why. I think it has something to do with tax and the fact that they only offer income and no growth. What appeals to me about them, is the predictable income they offer.

I’m not 100% sure if I want to dabble in Mortgage Syndicates, but I’d like to learn more about them before deciding.

The only Mortgage Syndicate fund I’ve briefly looked into thus far is Australian Unity’s Select Income Fund.

I would be interested in learning anything you have to share about Mortgage Syndicates, eg. your experience with them, any you would recommend or advise against, what to consider when choosing which properties to invest in, what to look for in terms of LVR etc. etc.

How did you go @MsNewbieInvestor ? Did you get information - positive or negative - that has helped you to make a decision?

I'm starting to investigate these too :)

Someone else is lending your money out so there is a risk of not getting back in full or part
