More than $250k in the offset?

    You can't have 2 offset accounts but you can have one and a spouse could have another.

    If you split the loan into smaller losns each with own loan account number then you could have an offset per loan account. You'd still be under the same accountholder nane and still with the one ADI so it doesn't really solve the issue at hand. It would however guve you flexibility to fix part of the loan and have the rest on variable ....

    When that happens you have bigger things to worry about than "is your offset covered....." and you head for the bunker where you have guns'n'butter stored, you don't have a bunker.....well then better hope it doesn't happen :)

    Its very unlikely to happen in Australia so I wouldn't stress and worry about other things within your control.

    Living outside of Australia.......I do worry and have appropriate long term "offsets stored and prepped".
