So Monash council is planning new residential zones. In two of them (RGZ & GRZ6) they've snuck in a massive increase in the public open space contribution. Going from 3% for a 3 lot subdivision to 10%!

So for a land value of $500k, it will jump from $15k to $50k!

    Highway bloody robbery!

    Whoa... that;s huge!

i was going to complain increase from 3% to 5% for some of melbourne councils.

i also see that their land valuers are more generous at land value for calculation purpose!

i guess no choice then sucking up a cost and (if possible) passing it on Buyers/investors

    The fee is such rort.

Knox has been 8.5% for a while. Many are 5%. Even that is too hard to stomach.

In this case, it's still a proposal, so it's submission writing time for me.
