Modular Shower Cubicle - Any Problems?

    Are there any downsides to something like this in a common rental property?

    We've a had a couple of issues lately with shower base waterproofing failing and proper fixes are in the thousands $, and it still doesn't guarantee the problem will never come back in a timber framed construction.

    These modular units with a fully moulded base and full wall panels seem to be much more likey to ever have a leakage problem and seem to be able to be simply retrofitted over the existing wall and floor tiles.

    Has anyone ever done one of these and did it work out ok?
