Ok so I've just been educated, the style I am actually going for is called Holywood Regency. Supposed to be very upmarket and glamourous. Loving it already!

Hollywood skank is less popular with buyers. Odour le pee and stains. Datto is a buyer out at MtDruitt to keep the values up

Thank you @Brady for the Polish links, I didn't realise they were so sophisticated in Hampton's style, I actually followed Canadian designers, so I appreciate Polish language I am fluent in!
    Are you Polish...?

here's her link but I suppose the house was much bigger...

Also it was more for a country style home:

Waaaaay too white for me. Thank goodness i dont need to stick to that boring color scheme and i have room for some glam and still hit the target market.

Also i've always taken the route of wanting to appeal to enough buyers but not necessarily all the buyers. Something thats a little unique can appeal to an emotional buyer and get a premium, especially if there is limited supply of what was built.

Is it riskier than appealing to a very broad market? Probably. But thats ok with me.

I prefer lighter blues or cooler blues or grey as opposed to deep blues or just white and grey. Just personal preference, that's all!

I actually prefer the more striking shades, like the navy blue.

In the end, this is what will happen.

I will get all my inspiration photos and sit down with my REA who is an expert in selling these homes and disucss in detail how light, how dark, what colors, how many mouldings, patterns , taps, home inclusions etc etc. Then take all that infomation to my interior designer to give it the once over and add any more ideas etc. Then take all that to my estimator to get the most cost effective way to get it all built, then draw up a tender in detail and send that out to builers.

Each to their own, appreciate what you’re saying. You can go the emotional route with lighting and styling which lets a buyer tone it down but also jag the dreams of someone with a particular taste. I do understand what you mean though as far as aiming for a specific individual.

I agree with the blues but you can add deeper blue via styling instead of permanent cabinetry.
I think I was inspired by the bedroom of Sarah Richardson off the grid house, or by 'Something Gotta Give" movie with Diane Keaton when I saw those Hampton houses.

She used blues but cooler soft blues....

For our PPoR kitchen, I like dark blue (and gold) but went with white as I think dark blue would date quickly. But planning to add those colours as accent. Same old 60-30-10 rule :D

I agree, I personally would not buy dark blue cabinetry in the kitchen, elsewhere maybe, I would prefer more subtle tones, and add navy or dark blue into interior accents if after that look.
