    Hello Everyone,

    I have an interest in the Ipswich LGA and it has a mining overlay/easment across the whole property.

    The property is in an established areas in the Raceview/Newtown area which is quite built.

    I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the actual real impacts of this?

    My thoughts;
    • Likelihood of future mining in a established suburb would below
    • It will put of prospective buyers which may limit Capital growth

    Can anyone else think of any other impacts?

    Cheerio,
    QS

    Sorry should have been more specific. There are no current active mines, however the fact that it is in a mining easement means that it could be acquired at Fair Market Value by the government.

    Possible soil instability. Call the Ipswich council town planning department?
