    @Bran I know a person became a solicitor at 55. I know a person who became a doctor after 35. It's quite possible.

    If the Uni thing is what she's talking about, she's wrong if she thinks she can never do it.
    I went to Uni at 30 with a preschooler and a toddler at home. Yes it was difficult.

    But I was determined to do it. I put the kids to bed each night then did my assignments. Quite a few Sunday nights I never went to bed. Writing essays, pressed print, had a shower, put it in a folder, dropped the kids at daycare and went to Uni.
    I worked Friday nights and in childcare centres in the holidays (taking the occasional sicky from Uni to get extra money working). In my third year my hubby lost his job so we went to garage sales on Saturday and we set up a stall at the markets on Sunday to sell the stuff we bought.
    If you want something bad enough, you'll make it happen.

    I know a lady going back to do high school foundation course at age 30. Got into Medical school in Tassie and now is a good doctor.

    Jebus, why would you do it to yourself?

    I pulled out of Law School the night before the applications closed. Was going to do Science/Law then Medicine. Not sure I made the right choice ;)

    It's not med school that's difficult, actually the time of my life thus far. It's the decade you then give away afterwards that hurts.

    That's pretty impressive.
    I hope they didn't start young and it just took them that long.

    Actually I know a few. One is a vet. One is a channel 7 journo. One is an ex cop with serious spinal injury. Hats off to them.

    I chanced upon this.. what an amazing brother you are!

    My youngest brother has low self confidence.. all i can do is keeping telling him how much i believe in him. I have always thought he has 10 times the intelligence but less self confidence and i reiterate it to him every single chance i get! Any and every small thing he does, i end it with, see i always told you, you can do anything and heres another small example.

    i loved Xenias response above.. @Xenia you must be a great support for a LOT of people!
