With upto 800k, where would you invest : the mexican capitals or Brisbane.
Assume house or large townhouse only. No apartments.
Assume all other factors are the same/similar between locations.
Assume within 15km of CBD. No further.

I believe it is in reference to "south of the border". Are they going to build a wall on the border? Tweeds/Coolangatta will become a divided city......

not a trick question...just ignore the last option...
esstentially mel vs syd vsbrisbane for 800k, house/townhouse only upto 15km of respective cbds. Assume the finer details and config/layout etc are all similar.

Assuming i had to spend all my 800K in 1 shot then Brisbane, older home (or development site) as close to the CBD as my money could buy with as big a block in the best PPOR suburb I could afford. Then wait with my sombrero.

Same happened when I started Game of Thrown, but eventually got hooked.

Haven't seen the documentary yet but the show is just riveting.

Game of Thrones is just on another level. Love it but shame we'll have to wait til 2019 for the next season. :(

Cancun is very heavily developed. There's better real estate deals to be had further down the coast. Playa del Carmen is still well developed but not overdone. Tulum is a quiet town, though it's not directly on the beach - the Maya ruins have far better beach access. There's developments all the way down the coast.

Far cheaper than anywhere in Brisbane, And probably not hard to get cash flow positive.

The first post on this thread directly on topic ;-)

True...cancun is so heavily developed. I really like it though. Playa del Carmen is also good.
More accommodation options in cancun I find.

Both my daughters have worked in Playa- in a bar fronting onto the beach. Party central, they loved it.

I'm more a Tulum sort of person. Quiet, laid back. Until it gets developed anyway.

    Literally dying for it?

Season 4 is in doubt. A member of the team who was scouting for locations was shot and killed north of Mexico City. So Netflix may dhave code to cancel, or perhaps just to move the location.

I've only seen it reported in the Spanish language press so far.
