Anyone out there had to comply with council - overland flow / (1/1000 yr biblical flooding)
Requiring bottom 200mm of boundary fence to be mesh.
If so what type of mesh?? Council have not specified thickness / mesh hole sizing.
I would assume if not specified then I am able to choose for myself....

It would be specified somewhere without a doubt. Council's stormwater engineering guys will have a preference eg: 10mm square mesh or SL52 galvanized reinforcement mesh or trench mesh might be more practical.

Check with the Council's engineering department. The intent is to let water through when moving at a rapid rate. Too small and it won't work...
