VIC Melbourne Westside meetup - Royal Hotel, 873 Mt Alexander Rd Essendon, Thurs March 30th 2017 @ 7pm

Good morning all,

The next Melbourne west-side meetup is booked in as follows:

Date : Thursday 30th March 2017
Time : 7pm
Venue : Royal Hotel, 873 Mt Alexander Rd Essendon (we'll be in the bistro under "Property Chat").

Let me know by posting on this thread who is coming so I have an idea of numbers.

Come along for food and/or drinkies and some excellent chit-chat. After much campaigning over several months I have finally convinced this venue of the merits of having vegetarian options on the menu, and low and behold, I see a vegetarian risotto on the menu which will please our vegetarian members. So finally we have this as a viable meetup place from a location, food and transport perspective.

This venue is within a short (2min 150metre) walk of Essendon Station for those who wish to commute by train (see map below). Essendon Station is on the Craigieburn line. Alternatively trams run along Mt Alexander Rd... most notably tram 59 which can collect you in Elizabeth St Melbourne and take you all the way to the venue.

For those that are driving, there is parking behind the venue, on Mt Alexander Rd, behind the Post Office, or at the train station.

For our visitors from the regionals of Geelong and Ballarat that are commuting by train, you will need to change trains at North Melbourne Station or Southern Cross Station to pick up the Craigieburn line.

Looking forward to meeting you all on Thursday. To address the questions asked above, there is no entry fee for the meetup. Any drinks or food you have are of course yours to pay for.

There's no need to do any preparation for the meetup. Folks like to turn up and chat. It's always nice for folks to make new friends that are actively investing, and share ideas. . As for dresscode, wear what you wore to work, or jeans and t-shirt or whatever you feel like, as long as it is generally deemed appropriate attire for a bistro in a pub.
