    Sold for $225k
    Sold 24 Bruce Road, Woodridge QLD 4114 on 03 Jul 2020 - 2016319132 | Domain

    Sold for $230k
    Sold 27 Victoria Street, Woodridge QLD 4114 on 18 Jun 2020 - 2016174105 | Domain

Eagleby is only approx 30 mins drive to the Gold Coast or Brisbane CBD or Ipswich.
Woodridge less than 30 mins to Brisbane CBD.
I'm not talking far flung locations.
Sure these properties need some work but they are available!

I could go on and on but I'm flat out with Sydney and Melbourne buyers ;)

an exodus out of melbourne is only natural after decades of population growth, just like the exodus out of perth that occured after 2014. I know lots of people from Brisbane that decided to return home, the funny thing is I noticed these things happening around mid 2019 long before coronavirus kicked off. The coronovirus hysteria is just a smoke screen for the economic decline that was already underway, the government is just using it as an excuse to avoid blame.

I don’t agree with this. The exodus is pretty blatantly a result of the worst leadership in the history of Australian politics.

I'd agree if it wasn't happening to every major city around the world at the same time.

If one is moving from Melbourne to Brisbane, wouldn't that generally mean they are looking for buy as owner occupiers?

And if you were to move to Brisbane away from Melbourne or Sydney, why would you pick the mount druitt or Jacana of Brisbane?

Are people really moving up and picking Woodridge as a place to settle? @My House QLD

I left Sydney's eastern suburbs and moved to Logan (into a PPOR) then proceeded to purchase 8 other IP's in Logan. So it's possible!

same thing happens everyone (regional Victoria from my personal experience). People in early 20's try to experience a different pace but when kids come along the free Childcare and support is hard to turn down especially if your income and lifestyle is not dramatically better in the big Smoke

Here's four for you. Just look on RP Data at recent sales, lots around Logan.

I took it as still not having daylight saving.

See any exodus from Melbourne will be people that are short visioned and unestablished. All my friends who have their own businesses, established careers , families and kids at schools will never contemplate making such moves.
In a few months when Vic settles down and reopens, ppl that moved will be scratching their heads and asked “why are we here?”

I have just posted elsewhere about this and from people that I have spoken to, they want out of Victoria at the earliest convenience possible. Many are still not allowed to open their businesses and they have had enough,

Probably depends on which demographic you speak to. I.e. all of my asian friends love Melbourne.

For your friends that are leaving, if would be great if you could quantify their impact on the prop market i.e. which surburb are the leaving? and what sort of incomes will they bring to this new location?

Not what I’m seeing and hearing.
I know a number of very well established people in planning mode.

You need to understand in Victoria that until a vaccine is available (Maybe never) or a change in government (years away) that this is now our life.

Small business people with under 10 employees and around 120k single person incomes residing in the Mornington Peninsula. Some are currently renting and are desperate to leave Victoria.
