The media's interest in the amount of units being built at present seems to be ramping up again. I have done 2 interviews in 2 days on the topic. One of the journo's went for a drive and counted 40 cranes in the sky apparently.

Crane count can be a pretty poor way of indicating oversupply - some of those cranes are not even on resi jobs, and there's a big difference for a crane working on a 7 floor job versus a 70 floor job!

the chinese have somehow found a way to export their property bubble to good ole brissy, yay. Locals will remember what happened to the apartment market down the Gold Coast.

Another couple years and it will all be easy pickins.
