    Hi guys !

My partner is looking into getting into a mature apprenticeship (any trade), he is 26 and has an OHS degree. Unfortunately the OHS opportunities are very limited in WA, especially for a recent graduate.

Are there any short apprenticeship programs other than the standard 4 years? He is based in Perth and is looking into becoming an Electrician or getting into the Construction industry.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated :)

Maybe ring up fair work or master builders Australia or hia.

I have never employed a mature age apprentice so I don't know to much about it sorry. I only employ the young blokes.

It would be worth asking around.. I also only know younger apprentices, but i have heard that the good (slightly more mature age) ones get ticked off in less than 4 years with the right employer. However, I am not sure how widespread this fast-track process is and I have also assumed it is the result of fudging hours ect.
