There'd be more water than paint in those tins!

I used the masters ceiling paint in my last reno. At the time I used it and a couple of years later, it looks exactly the same as really expensive ceiling paint.

    Crikey, that's cheap.
I think painting is like childbirth, you forget the pain of the last time when you start thinking of doing it again.

I hear masters are thinking of pulling the pin? Apparently not doing so well.

I hope not - Bunnings needs the competition.

I don't think their is much competition between the two these days. Tradies very rarely go to masters and every time I go to masters service is non existent.

I think they've acknowledged that they are sustaining huge losses at this stage. But with all the WW cash getting pumped in and their aggressive store opening strategy, I don't see them backing out anytime soon. They know the market is there. They just need to tweak their market focus and do something better than Bunnings. I think they'll turn it around and hit Bunnings in the medium term.

I love Masters - lighting and tapware are good, and the service at my local one is really good too. And quieter than bunnings :)

Looks like I'll be painting this weekend!

@Jess Peletier - quieter? More like silent. There's no one in there.

Bunnings have a pretty good marketing arm - their latest move to allow dogs in-store I think is genius.
Supports the local community groups - was talking with someone the other day and this was their main and most successful fundraiser of the year for a sporting group :)

I'm not sure why that's a problem - I like being able to choose my stuff in peace, with lovely fully stocked shelves ;)
