    Hiya

Does anyone know where you can buy large metro area maps?

Or if not, otherwise get custom one made up maybe?

I'm looking for a whole metro area one with street detail, about the size of an office pin board.

    Cheers
    Dave

A few years ago I found some big maps at the RACV shop in Melbourne.

    Are they still there?

I was about to recommend them - but haven't been past there in years, used to walk past every day on the way to work. Have purchased large suburban maps from them in the past.

I looked them up, looks like they stock Hema gear that Kinnon suggested.
They supposedly still exist, according to their website.

Does anyone know where I can get a large digital copy of the same? Free preferable, but don't mind paying a token amount.

Found this version, but hard to see all the suburb names (something around 2-3 times this resolution would be ideal):

Yes I've heard of Google Maps, can be hard to get it showing all suburbs consistently depending on zoom.

Have you tried the government websites? Or state department of some kind?
The map your after would be very handy. It's a great way to see suburbs.

I just checked an app I have is not to bad - hema explorer

Anyone heard of Logan here?? ;)

You do have to pay for it. But they use HERE maps for town detail and topos when you zoom out

Either way hema may be with an email
