Major infrastructure projects and programs for NSW have been announced in the State Government's budget. Find out more about what's planned in your local area.

    Capital spend in 2016-20 = $73.3 billion
This includes 672 major infrastructure projects and programs to realise opportunities for economic growth and provide for our communities.

“This funding will support the creation of more homes close to jobs, better transport, improved public facilities and high-quality open space areas.

The funding will go into infrastructure to support the following projects:
Hill Road M4 off Ramp – Lidcombe ($140 million)
Hambledon Road, Alex Avenue – Schofields ($22 million)
Appin Road – Campbelltown ($10 million for planning)
Spring Farm Parkway, Stage One – Campbelltown ($30 million)
    "

I don't know for sure but I think the ramp is part of the redevelopment of Carter Street (Lidcombe) area. It is a run down industrial area now.

Traffic near DFO (Homebush) roundabout is horrible. I guess this off ramp will ease that traffic. Also better connect the Olympic Park as well.

    Lets hope so.

The traffic's so bad at DFO, that by the time anybody tries to get to a garden show, all the plants are dead...

Not to mention the roundabout of death, imported from the remnants of Mad Mad Beyond Thunderdome, only Tina's not there to entertain.
