Turnbull will only win if he runs a Trump-style campaign that totally destroys Shorten's character. Remember all those workers BS sold out when he was still cutting employment agreements? It's going to be way harder now, because the RC let Shorten off the hook, and he's been allowed to play Mr Popular. (Most voters have the memory of a goldfish).

Turnbull had his chance to do this at the last election, then BS would have been replaced by ???

Sigh.. There go my franking credits........

Honestly I am fine with my tax dollars going to those who need Dole (far too low currently) but I always found this cash handout to wealthy retirees perfectly ridiculous, another Costello Grey votes buying (permanent expense paid with temporary windfall).

I think she means per capita of population. I vaguely remember choking on my weetbix when I read the news article about it.

First time we were in Hobart it was about five minutes past 5 pm on a Friday. Stopped at the lights in the main street, there was the car next to us and one other car behind us. That was it.

Anything is better than Labor/Greens. Will put the Liberals first in lower house and Aus cons in the senate.

But to win, as other posters have previously suggested - A decent energy policy + cuts to immigration will probably allow the Libs to win a third term. Whether MT and the party has the guts to do so, we shall see.

No. Though it is slightly better this year. Last year was insane and I was out a lot. I think the tourism traffic is down on last year but those figures are not out yet.

Agree. However, as much as I dislike labor, they don't deserve to be in the same category as The Greens. The Greens imo are domestic terrorists.

Hey, The Greens have plenty of worthwhile values.

And some rather questionable ones, too.

Pair is more than adequate, hence no equivocation to put my opinions forward .

Not anymore, the Fake Greens (likewise the Fake Left) cannot care less about environment/sustainability and are perfectly ok with destroying Australia's nature for the sake of immigration (preferably non-white)/virtue signaling.

I am not sure on why Turnbull's rating is so low given that he is the most sensible PM we had for a long time. He is far from perfect but certainly have more class than Shorten, Abbott, Rudd and Julie. I don't think there is a better replacement in both side of politics as far as I am aware for now.
