With the year almost up, what is the biggest accomplishment you have had for the yr - could be anything - career, family, house /IP, etc...
Curious as to how many responses will be real estate related :)

For me I'm healthier than I have been for a while. Down to 80kg from 94kg at my worst a few years ago.

Managed to balance full time work, single parenting, purchase of first IP (in own name), set up of SMSF, full preparation of a massive affidavit (120+ pages) for federal court case, start (and finish, by the end of this month) a Diploma in Financial Planning, and still smiling (most of the time).

Next year, it's dealing with the weight, improved health, a new PPoR, IP for the SMSF, and trying to get better quality sleep…..

Ok, mine is real estate related - from zero to three IPs this year. Next year I want to do what @twobobsworth did

@KayTea, sounds like we all want to start losing (weight) next year.. Should we start the propertychat TBL comp?

I wish I could apply the same motivation and dedication to weight loss as I do to most everything else. I've been going to lose weight for around 20 years now…… still nowhere near achieving that goal (I like chocolate and red wine too much ;))

Wow, that's so cool. I'd love to know how you funded that.

@KayTea - Simply by using equity in our ppor bought in 2010 in Sydney, plus two of the three IPs were really cheap

For me, it was all about the career in 2015. Really worked hard- climbed the ladder a bit... Many more rungs to go lol...results were there - higher salary, responsibilities, held in higher regard..etc really kicked arse this yr...higher stress as well :) :(... Well, you can't have one and not the other I suppose...

Hmm, I have a few. Main one would be weight and fitness related. Lost a bit of weight and am the fittest I have ever been and am feeling great as a result.

My business had some good growth this year and my husband started his own business which has gone nuts in a short period of time. He has been able to leave full time work and I help out occasionally when able which I also enjoy.

In another 3 years, people will be wishing they bought in brisbane 5 yrs back..just like we wish we bought in Sydney in 2010.. (but not quite as much cg as Sydney did in 5 years ). Will be fairly close though...

Hmm 2015 in no particular order...
    - Reached enough positive cashflow from property rents to be able to quit my full time job and start a business from scratch
    - Completed 1st development (or will have, by time 2015 is over)
    - Fell in love

Finally reached a state of reasonable stability after doing two career moves over the course of several months earlier this year to permanently leave the mining sector - started working on delivering two of Brisbane's tallest buildings (one being the tallest, and yes, contributing to the inner city oversupply). Managed to climb a 2km high mountain in NZ at some point as well.

Next year will be about building on the more stable base (both career-wise and investment-wise).

Bought my first IP. It's going well.

The 100km walk I did last week ( Great Ocean Walk ) was a fairly big accomplishment. Certainly the most exhausting and longest walk I have done in Australia. Carried 20+ kg in my pack the whole way. I got back on Sunday and it is only today that my legs have recovered. 191,000 or so steps in one week.

    2015......

This year was the one that brought me many challengers, not financially but health wise.

    Rest,reflect and reload for 2016 :)
