We just viewed this villa sitting at the back of a block of 2 in Eastwood, Lovell Road. The sewerage service diagram have the main sewer cuts across the villa. Neighbours having this run through has this marked as "concrete encased" but not for this villa.

May I know what concern we should have for this? Will it cause any headache for us in the future?

Also, if you are familiar with Lovell Road in Eastwood, can you please let us know whether there is anything we should look out for?

    Thanks a bunch.

Check whether the land is affected by Northconnex, road widening or rail proposals.

Holy... there isn't a manhole in the living room somewhere? Check under any rugs.

Just a normal linkup for a property that size, the only future problems would be if you planted out that section..imho..

Had a friend whose villa had exactly this scenario....

took her a LONG time to sell that bloody villa; and only sold when there was a general property boom; in terms of Opportunity cost ..cost her heaps :(...

Yeah that's a concern for me as well. Even though I am a bit informed about the situation I am also hesitant myself.

The way you are feeling now is the way future buyers will be feeling when you come to sell.

Avoid, unless there are other compelling reasons to buy that exceed the possible sewer problem.
