Yes I saw this, it looked great. Not sure how it would look next to the castle

What did you think of location

Didn't recognise the street as one in the CBD - a bit of click bait there seeing its in Castle Cove!

Not a huge fan of Castle Cove, bit isolated, much prefer the East but then it would be a lot more than $32m!

I am on episode 6 .. getting a bit sick of Gavin’s persistent self promotion by now.

Interesting that she said she doesn't like the flashy suits and cars but dresses similarly herself and drives a Range Rover:rolleyes:

Call me a cynic but most REAs really have themselves as priority number 1 not the vendors.

Take for example when they tell you to pay for a flashy ad at the top of the search ie a premium ad. That's really to advertise themselves bc anyone serious about buying a house will scroll through all the houses on offer in a Realestate.com or Domain search.

If there's one industry ripe for innovation...

Giving her the benefit of the doubt.. sometimes people do have to dress and play the part to make it.

Everything else, agree re: the industry needing reform. The US market is really ahead of us in this sense.

Apparently this has been on the market for some time now. Which makes me curious... does anyone know how a heritage property changes use into a public space. Is it just like any other acquisition (ie they get bought out) but by a govt body?

No idea but if I had a spare $30m in Syd market would need a view of the opera house, the bridge/harbour

Side topic but $5m and up should secure you a very nice 4x2 house on > 300-400sqm in one of the top 25 suburbs in Sydney.

Horses for courses but I think there is a pretty steep diminishing marginal level of satisfaction as you go up the price scale.

I don't think the average person who's not (overly) materialistic will be happier in a $20m house vs a $10m house ie money doesn't buy you happiness.

You could say that about houses in any price brackets really. For $10m+ market, there are some really compelling reasons to keep going up (for those who have money).

    - Views
    - Bigger space
    - Houses with lifts
    - Private jetties
    - Privacy from neighbours
    - Parking for multiple cars

    And it never stops!

Put it this way its nice to have a choice.
Same as people who have holiday homes, don’t need it but if you can afford it …. Nice

The point I was trying to make is, if I had $50m in cash, I'd probably still live in a $5m house. I know everyone's different. In that respect, I'm a little like Buffett.

I can almost guarantee you those that are buying the 30m+ homes are worth a lot more than 50m

    Hey guys

you got to watch this on netflix. Highly recommend.

Amazing homes in Paris, the difference is its a family that run this re agency. Down to earth, real people, client buying $10M+ properties
    (Sub titles)

Also added bonus get to see some amazing places in Paris ie on canal etc

Absolutely loving the show . It's right in my backyard and I'm familiar with every street and most of the homes. I personally know and do business with 1 of the clients who was featured and sold his home. Also know the agents on a personal level. All in all I'm loving it.

I was hoping you would make an entry at some point. Season 2 may be?
