Wine and cheese and being a grazer are my foibles ... don't to breakfast and could easily forgo dinner, but the fam likes a sit down evening meal ... as for the 6-pack - doesn't really do it for me

    That's a "confirmed" from me.

    I'll see if Capper agrees.

I'm glad it's worked for you I've seen these at Terry White at 40% sugar so what happens is overweight people have them in addition plus them metabolisms getting mucked around by the sugar anyway so I actually see them as quiet dangerous but I'm glad that you've managed to make them work for you

Man Shakes have sucralose, an artificial sweetener, no sugar. It leaves an aftertaste which I don't like though, so I need something else afterward - even just a drink of water.

I don't want to sound like I'm harping on and I'm on my own journey too but why don't you just eat some healthy food that would give you the same amount of calories but not be processed.
Like if you were having these shakes as a snack why don't you have some ricotta with cucumbers or something or some nuts, or a banana?or some muscles idk. But actual food with vitamins and minerals and fibre.?

The shake is a meal replacement, in my case, replacing lunch only, not two meals as recommended.

I've tried that approach many times over the years and it's never worked. I've never been able to last long on that sort of diet.

Now, I have a light breakfast and a fairly normal evening meal, with the shake replacing lunch. No desserts, no snacks. The evening meal is home cooked, but with minimal oil because my wife can't handle it ATM. Unfortunately she can't handle any sort of spices either, so the meals tend to be bland, but they are satisfying.

If there's a special occasion, I'll break the routine. It will just take me a few days to get back to where I was.

If you're talking about Bundaberg Diet Ginger Beer, it has reduced sugar, not zero sugar, and does have calories.

People have bad relationship with your food.
Hence why people have weight issues.
It is pretty simple maths - Calories IN..... Calories OUT.
Stored fat is still calories waiting to be use UP.

Eat 1 meals a day.. nobody will ever die from it. Your body will tell your system release the fat stored as a source of energy. Ketones releases.

Overweight and obesity - Australian Institute of Health and Welfare

Statistic shows 2/3 of Australian are obese.
While country like Africa have people literally starving to death.
    The minds boggles!

    Just something I hadn't mentioned.

It was my GP who told me I was obese. I went to him about 4 weeks after I started, after there were some results. He was happy with my method and the results to that point. He just cautioned me about losing too much too quickly. The loss was quicker in the initial weeks than subsequently, so he should be ok.

She emphasised sleep, which is where many people fall short.

I only sleep 6 hours and a 30 mins power nap after lunch. Works a treat for me.
Eating well is 70% and exercising 20% and fasting 10% is all working well for me.

    Likely different for everyone.
My numbers to stay in high level physical condition is probably emphasis on - training 75%, diet 25%.
I like to get a minimum of 9hrs sleep daily.
Also do a 40hr fast once a week to get the autophagy going for a while when leaning up for competition season.

    Everyone is different 100% agree.
Whatever works - don't change it IMO.

I won't mind doing a 48 hours fast. But I can't be stuff as I am usually too hungry by then.
I know it is a mindset thing.

Usually I am 5 days fasting Monday - Thursday - 16 hours each which is just your very basic fast.
I still enjoy the weekend outing and family gathering.
I have found my happy medium that works for me without giving up the social community things.

100% and generally is the elephant in the room when it comes to people feeling tired all the time and just not recovering well or keep on getting injured/sick.
