Results are in. I didn't do as well as I predicted.

After this post my life got very stressful. While I maintained my heathly habits for a lot of it but then slipped back into bad habits at times.

At the best I got my energy and alerness back and started feeling like myself again. I need to make the choices where I maintain that level of energy and motivation.

It was definitely worth doing and I want to keep it up for all of 2018.

Bottom line is that I lost 2.5 kg. This is neither spectacular nor terrible. If I maintained the same results over 12 months, I would be back under 90 kg.

So that will be my goal for 2018. Maintain healthy eating and exercise habits for the year and focus on maintaining good mood and energy. This should translate to being under 90 kg by the end of 2018.

Good luck with your weight goal.

Although a bodyweight goal is not a very good motivator.
Rather, a functionality goal is more meaningful and rewarding.
If you are highly functional, it’s virtually impossible to be at an unhealthy bodyweight, whatever that may be.

I agree. I will be focusing on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Weight loss should be a result of a healthy lifestyle not a goal of a healthy lifestyle.

Take a blood test and it will reveal how healthy you’re.

Already done. Cholesterol: excellent, trigs: excellent. Blood glucose, in the middle of the normal range. Iron on the low side but in the normal range. I am eating more beans. I should get it checked again.

A blood test doesn't measure fitness. I would like to be fitter.

If you follow your body’s own intuition, eat when you are hungry and eat real food then you are not made to gain excessive weight
