WA Looking to purchase first property in either thornlie or ferndale

    Hey guys i've been reading this forum now for a few weeks and there's a lot of helpful information i've picked up on.

    Just wondering what your thoughts were regarding these two suburbs.I would be purchasing in this area as a ppor preferably something i could rezone my price range is 450k also i'm a fhb.

    But as for zoning nothing really seems to be happening in ferndale atm but i see potential there in the next 5-10yrs as there decent sized blocks for house behind house potential with close proximity to carousel.With thornlie there's a lot of rezoning happening in the more undesirable part but i'm more looking around the forest lakes vicinity which with current zoning only really leaves me with the corner block density scheme which is practical.

    Basicly just seeking advice in these areas and what you guys think thanks.
