    Hi,

I am currently based in Asia and am working towards getting AU PR.

In the late 1990s, I bought a house (off the plan) in Bulleen which has been paid up, and rented out for more than 10 years to the same tenant. Based on domain / realestate, valuation is around $1.5 mil. Rental is around $500 a week.

When I move back to AU (most probably Victoria), if my PR application is successful, I will have about $1mil - $2 mil available to invest after selling my current properties here.

Over here, there are property investment managers that help manage / scout for good deals and get paid via a commission etc.

I'm wondering if it is possible to build a portfolio of properties e.g. 2-3 units, for rental + repay mortgage and perhaps find a place to rent for myself + family.

Any such folks that help do the legwork + some accounting advice as I'm very out of touch with what to look for etc.

If you have anyone to recommend, big thanks :)

Sounds like you're looking for a buyers agent. In Melbourne have a chat with @Lisa Parker or @JacM.

The main thing is the PR approval. When do you find out the result?

No PR makes it tough to buy established stock on the surface of it

No one really knows. The application is in already. So it's a waiting game.
