A good accountant isn't measured by his fees. You should measure them by how much money they can save you minus their fees.
You get what you pay for.
Well thought out tax advise for something like property investment may potentially save you hundreds of thousands in capital gains tax alone. That's worth a few extra bucks in advance.

    Hi @Mark

Focus on quality rather than cost.

There's good accountants on this forum. In Sydney - you've got Paul Gerrard. Pretty sure he gives a discount to PC members too.

    Cheers

Thanks a lot for the advice. I need to look at the big picture and choose the right accountant/tax agent rather than being overly conscious of the expenses. I need to do tax return and am also considering setting up a trust for my next purchase. However, after talking to a couple of people in the property chat community, I realized that for my current circumstance, the disadvantages of trust seem outweigh the benefits. I did give Paul a call today. He is very friendly and offered very good advice on Trust.
