    I've been hearing that Ipswich was to be S/E Qld's Parramatta for many years.......ahhh nah! There's more scope for something (on a considerably smaller scale) to occur between Beenleigh and Springwood and likely more toward the Springwood end that hugs the M1. There needs to be a train to mimick the Parramatta accessibility. Were it not for that, Garden City and the Mount Gravatt precinct even though it is closer to Brisbane cbd than Parramatta is to Sydney cbd, would be the more comparable satellite with a reasonable critical mass.

    They have had a plan for this intensive development for quite some time. Zoning in place. Did some DD for a couple of properties there about 2 yrs ago and will be significant if all goes ahead.

    They will have to fix up the Springwood bottleneck on the M1 though. Terrible from about 2.30 pm going south every day

    Where the Gateway merge is South, goes from 4 lanes to 2. Nonsense.
