I've recently acquired 2 pallets of toilet paper and need somewhere to store them securely.

Just kidding; I'm after a place to store 1 car and a few shelving units of stuff, around the Ryde area.

Interest was piqued by Facebook ads from The Lock Up, however they're at the very southern end of Sydney.

Does anyone use a service like this? Or rent a single lock-up garage via e.g. ParkHound?

I scanned the local rag years ago and found a spare garage at a block of units up the road. Had to give it up when they sold the unit.

Did you try to find another place after that?

I'm starting to consider the crazy idea of just renting a 1-car apartment in a new location every 6/12 months... and set up a "mobile base" there to explore different Sydney neighbourhoods.

Gave away the bulk of it to a charity garage sale.

I have been renting a lock up garage for the last 3 years. I have been carrying a lot of baggage over the years and it's building up.

It's about 18 sq metres and costs less than half what I used to pay at those main storage facilities. No funny business goes on there.

I went through this last year trying to find something secure for the cup car. In the end couldn't find anything suitable enough for my list of demands. There was a spot that came up in Kennards Artarmon after the fact which sounded good on paper but I never visited it to verify.
