There is an interesting article on the ABC news website today.

The bank asked a question they shouldn't have — and my pre-approval was withdrawn

ING Bank allegedly rang a person with a pre-approval and asked the female applicant if they were pregnant. "You haven't fallen pregnant?" was the question from the transcript of the phone call.

    The Human Rights Commission say:

"It is unlawful to ask for information about whether a person is pregnant or intends to become pregnant," it told me in a statement.

"Providers of goods and services must not discriminate against their customers on the grounds of pregnancy or potential pregnancy."

    according to the article.
