I'd rather have 4 houses at Mt Druitt.

I really feel for the young ones in Sydney....

I know there are cheaper options out there...but wowee .. even entry level in Sydney is 600k

    Everywhere else it's 400k.

    Big difference.

It's a bit tough out there. Definitely seeing more and more people at opens, lower stock, low rates, plenty of stimulus and plenty of people on higher incomes in Sydney never lost income this year. It could be a bit of a blood bath next year for FHBs.

There is really no such thing as entry level in many of the desirable suburbs in Sydney (although that term is subjective for many).

Entry level house in Sydney is somewhere past Oran Park no fhb should have expectations of a new house in the inner ring (15km) for sub-median +50% unless they're extremely cashed up.

Yes in days gone by that would barely have been considered Sydney but the web extends! You're right, those options are still there however blocks are extremely small. Still, you have to do what you have to do.

Yep. Scarce commodity....the older the better. The Palace of Versailles was built in the 1600s (or earlier). Still standing last time I checked.

Looks like some downsizer may have bought it. Size of the place isn't the main criterion in that case.
