Wanting to get in early and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope your stockings are filled with LICs, ETFs and fully franked dividends!

    Converted from USD maybe?

    Edit. This shows 50.6

VEU share price and company information for ASX:VEU

    Same to all.

Hmm, VGS and fully franked? That I'd like to see.

Was guesswork. When I held WPL and CSL they both reported in USD. When I then checked the ASX website a day or two after, the amount had been converted to AUD. I had a stab the same would occur with VEU.

    As per below.

    If you use this:

    Historical announcements

and then search for VAS for a few years, you'll likely notice a pattern for when it announces distributions.

So much for up to date info on these new fangled platforms. That plodder ASX has it. :)

Time to prepare for a guest who is coming over following the trip to Sydney going right down the toilet.

    Cheers all.

As a relative noob to ETFs and VAS in particular, I'm surprised to see the dividend announced prior to the end of the year - I was of the, perhaps mistaken, impression that they reported quarterly after the end of each quarter.

So is this a one off Christmas thing or a regular event? I could probably look it up and answer my own question but it's Christmas Day and I'm not even sure why I'm on this website at this time...

As it's Christmas, here is the answer @RogTheBear

Only here because I was wondering who was crazy enough, apart for myself, to bother today.

I now have the answer to my question. :)

Hoping to see some of their other quarterly payers, too. I'm really waiting to see what happens with the next VAS dividend, after a rather bumpy ride through 2020.

No idea, but as we've infiltrated the LIC thread, let's say around 72 cents per share :D

Yeah, I was waiting for something to happen - can't remember what now - sitting on GF's couch with laptop, just doing a quick run through of sites I normally visit... I'm not that obsessive.

    ANNOUNCEMENT

While it's been enjoyable seeing my name attached to this thread as first poster throughout 2020, I would like to declare that I will not posting first thing on Jan 1 2021 to see if I can do it again. :D

Although I'll probably be up early seeing Gladys wants everyone to stay home on NYE. :(

The ownership rights can go to someone else in 2021 - I'm retiring, and I will happily slink quietly back into relative anonymity - as an object lesson to others perhaps more prominent in world affairs right now.

As a parting gift, I would like to issue a pardon to you all - covering all sins and transgressions of the 2020 calendar year.

    Let the jostling begin... :p
