Interesting read--depending on how one read those opinions ,now is maybe the time to take stock..Now is the time to sell off any no-performing investments and take advantage of the rush to the exit..Money never sleeps...

I'm not saying you should read the article but I found it to be a well considered piece.

The author wasn't claiming any conspiracies or frauds or even saying LICs were in and of themselves bad investments. Rather he was analysing the claims made about LICs, particularly in comparison to cap weighted Index ETFs.

In the end though, I agree with your last sentence. Every investor should choose whatever poison lets them sleep at night.

Yeah ignore me at the moment (perhaps all the time if sensible) as I’m cranky because I can’t get out and do anything useful due to a rib injury:mad::(.

It’s a pretty good piece I think. I might comment on a couple of things on his (or her) blog. The conclusion is correct imo but some of the points are not as strong as they have been represented.....but good to see regardless

Lets throw in that other rumour also - the one that you are actually Peter Thornhill , I mean has anyone ever seen both of you together ;)

Rumors they say are only good and valuable when they are denied..But I would say looking at the writing style of both --the old spend less then you earn seems to pop up every now and again ..

Yes, but Peter Thornhills charts all show the indices though, no LIC's on the presentation charts, plus the fact that that you have a nefarious character as your avatar, its all veeeerrry suspicious :D :D :D

ETFwatch.com.au previously showed the stock price history and also the discount/ premium history over long periods.

Something has changed over the past month or two, and no longer shows those graphs. Does anyone know of a site which shows the discount/ premium history? - other than going to the LIC's website directly such as AFIC.
    TIA.
