Light flashing even switched off

    Hi, I am getting weired issue with my lights that it was flashing even I turn off th switch. I have to shutdown the main switch to stop it from flashing. I’ve changed 5 different lights and still the same issue. Can anyone help? Thanks

    You simply don’t muck around with electricity.
    Call an electrician first thing Monday if you don’t want to pay for an after hours call out.
    And don’t touch that light or switch.

    Yep. Turn off power and call a licensed electrician.

    The new types of energy saving lights do slightly flash sometimes when it is first turned off.
    You only really notice it in a completely darkened room and it does not last that long.

    Thanks for the advice. I changed to a brighter bulb and it seems the flashing problem is gone. It was 7w LED and now 15w LED. The new problem is the 15w bulb is buzzing loudly which is very annoying. Anyway looks like I need electrician.

    I seem to figured it out. For anyone who may have similar issue. My lighting require dimmable light bulbs. And normal led lights are usually non dimmable. I just have to use dimmable ones.

    I've noticed that dimmable LEDs are becoming more commonplace - though even with them, some of my older dimmers aren't up to the job.

    You don't normally need an electrician to change a light globe.
