Sorry, I should have been more specific here..

    I'll round it up.
    Weight wise 90% VDHG and 10% LIC = 100%
Comprising of 90% of my funds

Remaining 10% of funds for IOO and NDQ. These 2 weren't suppose to be part of the weighting of the above, I just want to invest in them.

Throw some MGE (Active ETF) and MGG (LIT) in there for good measure.

Of if you're like me and want an interesting satellite exposure - some NBI and KKC which have blown up in the past few weeks. :D

How do you feel about MGE hedged version? MHG? Would you do a 50/50 split?

I'll look at NBI and KKC, never heard of them..

    Wowee, lets settle down OK.

If you're an Australian citizen for tax purposes 50/50 VAS/VGS.

MGE just seems like QLTY with a higher fee.

Sorry Frank but I'm blocking you from now on. As Anne said this is a horror show.

Crazy that he is paying (presumably) and advisor and yet he is asking strangers viz portfolio construction. What is going on here Frank?

If you have a look at the post after the one you quoted (below) you will see that I 'worded' the one you replied to incorrectly. I put percentages down but I meant percentage of finances not percentage of portfolio weight.

In regards to asking questions, I'm just asking questions. Just because I have an advisor doesn't mean I can't get opinions and go on my own educational route via the net.

And I still can't see whats wrong with VDHG and an LIC and maybe some VAS. And then as a side thing, some IOO and NDQ..

The more I say that this is what I'm interested in the more everyone is telling me I'm crazy which is really not fair unless you tell me why this is not an acceptable investment option.

Now THATS interesting - An MGE replacement.

Here everyone is a classic example why I like the opinion of the masses in forums, because you get to exchange useful information.

Hopefully I will also contribute more when the time comes. I do try when I can.

Multiple years and multiple sites, same continuing story of having an advisor but still being lost. I can't decide if Frank has an incredible inability to learn and enjoys paying an advisor for nothing or he is some form of marketing to attract 'appropriate' clients.

    I'm really a bot :)

I don' t have an inability to learn. I'm actually quite educated in what I do and very successful and respected within my industry.

    However, I don't have a financial mind.

I needed to invest in the share market and do not have a financial brain. Its a lot better now, 90% better than where I started.

I only speak english and I need to make a speech to a Chinese audience in Mandarin. I hope this analogy clears up my 1.5 year behaviour on here

    Sigh.

Then the issue is do you have the insight to place the funds under the auspices of your adviser because of your declared lack of having a financial mind?

I'm outta here. For which many will be eternally grateful.

So Frank Manno has Alex recommended VDHG as part of your financial plan?

If you are successful and respected in your industry why dont you invest in that ?. Why do you need to invest in " the market" ? Why not invest in businesses you have some knowledge about ?, you only need very basic knowledge to be ahead of 90% of mug investors..

Hmm this is interesting, it was possible to see Frank's profile and see all the posts he's made in the past but in the last hour he's changed his account settings so no one can see what he's posted in the past. I smell a troll :)
