    Finally got around to reading some of these. Interesting to see The Falcon talking up Lic's & etf's,thought he was strictly an etf man though perhaps he's gone more the etf way over time. Looking forward to reading more stuff on that old site though from the little I've read there, this forum has taught me more about Lic/etf investing than anywhere else.

    One evolves! :p to be clear though, ETF means a lot of things....I would consider myself an index investor with an interest in asset allocation. ETF structure is only a vehicle, and the strategy could easily be replicated with unlisted index funds.

    Yep I get that,I was a little loose with the term 'ETF'. Been interesting for me to see other well known members including the likes of VAS & VGS.
