Even if Labor do win if it’s not by a landslide as they were expecting they can hardly say they’ve got a strong mandate for all their savage tax increases. Importantly this could influence the senate also.

Still too early to anticipate the outcome but I expected it to be looking like a landslide Labor wIn by now. Very surprised.

I am not surprised.. balance of power may be held by a few minor parties and/or independents.

Never **** off the gray vote!

Don’t think they were expecting it was going easy....seriously greed and shortsightedness seems to be the flavour of the electorate

Wow wow wow. Could the libs pull a rabbit out of the hat? I’m thinking we could end up with a hung.

Did Blinky bill cost himself the prime minister ship with his arrogance and attempt at class warfare? Did labor just tax themselves out of a win?

Yeah...I get that. Problem for Labor is that it’s a growing population...
Putting this down to a Hewson like...policy does not trump rhetoric... still some hope ...

Labor was so confident of a win that they decided to tax everything and anything they could get there hands on. And that’s why I think they just might lose what should have been an un losable election.

However I’m glad Tony Abbot is gone. He’s been a disruptive force for the liberal party since losing the leadership.

Not true. Which part? That they were over confident of winning. Or that they are introducing / increasing taxes more than any party has dared to in a long time.

Agree with abott and Dutton being a good thing if they go. They are both toxic.

If ALP don’t win tonight I would expect Bill Shorten would go as labour leader and with him most of his high taxing policies.

    Cheers

you know they Labor takes less tax on average than LNP. Policies which are for the future rather than remaining on a dangerous status quo are harder to sell - especially to an older generation frightened of change...
