And all because Dutton got a bit power hungry and thought he was better than everyone else.
I guess when you realize your own job is on the line at the next election you will do desparate things..
Even gets rewarded by keeping his old job so he can make his next move if the opinion polls dont improve ovey the next couple of months.
And then they can challenge again , as they now know they will not face any sort of punishment by trying to unseat a Prime Minister.

I wouldn't have voted for Julie Bishop and Julia Gillard for that matter. Nothing to do with them being female. As a female, I found both lacking in leadership qualities.

    Interesting piece about Malcolm Turnbull:

Why Malcolm Turnbull deserves no sympathy

I never rated him and always thought he was all about himself as soon as he joined the Parliament. But I think people have forgotten about history.

Julie Bishop is better than all the other rabble put together. Shame how she has been treated.

The answer to weather it will be seen as a success should be known by christmas.
A good set of numbers in the opinion polls will set him up.
A bad set will see Dutton breathing down his throat.
Some reports have mentioned that for a government seeking its third term the numbers were not that bad under Turnbull..
Governments rarely get kicked out after one term in office , but I think it goes downhill from there.
As the ALP found out when they kept on changing Prime Ministers , it gave the opposition plenty of ammunition in the lead up to an election about who would be the PM after 12 months in office.

Corrected for you :) For all of Labour's faults they had our first prime minister only for Abbott to tear her down... only for his henchman to do the same to Julie, by far the most qualified, like and experiences of the 3 going for PM

The original quote is correct. There's misogyny in the Australian population, in some professions more than others. My daughter is doing a degree in construction management, which is very much of a male dominated profession, and she has experienced a lot of behaviour from men which would not be tolerated in some.ither professions. She is doing a thesis on bias against women in the profession.

Labor is a bit better than Libs in this regard; Australia is much better than some other national governments, not as good as others.

As polls were mentioned, there's some mixed results in the first poll since the spill.
Marginal seat polling shows voters warm to new PM but turn on Coalition

I didn't care about the ALP changing leaders much. The problem was that the policies didn't improve.

Unfortunately the LNP just gave the opposition, the same ammunition that Tony Abbott and others used very effectively in 2013 .
One of the biggest issues is in energy and power prices and they have no real policy, it constantly changes . The NEG pretty well tore the party apart.

Rudd savages Abbott and Murdoch for wrecking Australian democracy

I really hope they get what they deserve. Great that Abbot didn't get anything from Scott Morrison and great to see the media rightly pointing the fingers at him and others who started all this but the Libs need to take some sort of action to make sure this never happens again. Changing the party rules is one option i guess.

Changing the party rules is some help. But it doesn't help the influence held by the likes of Murdoch, and not only here.
