    Hello
    Three questions.
If I want to operate a small business, where do I go to get insurance?

If I want to start two businesses that do two different things, can I use the same policy or do I need two policies?

Any other type of insurance I may require?

Wife operates a sole trader business and has Public Liability through RGIB (http://www.ruralandgeneral.com.au/) which was a bit cheaper than her previous PLI policies with Allianz.

Use a broker. If you want a soft introduction to a great insurance broker, PM me or email me at [email protected].

A broker will be able to answer this for you.

I have both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance. I work from home and have no employees. Again, a good broker will be able to help you with this.

    I'll second Mark.

Depending on the nature of the business, especially the public contact and type, PLI can be very expensive. A broker can get you the best. At times I did get my broker change companies at renewal time.

I went through Marsh (www.marsh.com.au) but there's plenty out there.
