Its in my IP , bought one of this ready made letter box from Masters. During Heavy drizzle its soaks the mails .

I couldn't see the source of the leak :(. Was thinking more like leaking top, since i don't get this problem during a normal drizzle. And i don't think the Letter inlet can cause this water leak as well.

Did anyone had this same problem , Any proven fix ?. Or should i put silicon on the mouth on the letter box ?.

Does this product works Gripset Betta 500ml Concrete Crack Filler ?.

Wouldn't you just test it by hosing it from above?

Waterproof no more gaps to seal the mouth should work, might need to do it at the back too

It'll likely be the direction of rainfall, going in front or back, you could add something like an awning over then opening, difficult to do much without interfering with normal use.
If possible, maybe try turning the box to face the drive rather than street, see if you get the same problem next time.

Couple of days ago Swapped the postion , still floods the mails. So gotta be the porous top or somehow the water sweeps through the mail inlet.

Can waterproofing done on top?. Any products/ recommendations ?.
Will definitely try to apply silicon on the front and rear.

I had a similar problem with a concrete letterbox
Fixed it with a waterproof concrete sealer . .it was not cheap $100 per litre but it fixed it...painted it both outside and inside ...
It came in a blue colour but i repainted with a normal paint over the top (it seemed like a latex based sealer ...just brought it from mitre 10
Told them the problem ..they suggested this sealer

Hose the thing and look inside. Use a roof silicone, it will fair much better in the sun.

Bunnings sell a clear sealer for terracotta and other stuff. You can get it in a spray bottle - must be a bout 500ml - for about $10. It dries clear. Couldn't hurt to try it. I think it's in the part of Bunnings where they sell pond stuff.

Thanks for all the tips. Hopefully I fixed the issue.

Did like @thatbum, hosed the water down.found bulk of it going via letter inlet between the concrete and the lid lips. And also found slight cracks on the top.

Didn't buy any expensive concrete or bath sealer. Just bought Uv rated silicon sealant from bunnings for 4.98$. Applied generous on the lips and rub the extra on the top. Been a week so far, no word from tenants.

Do tenants seriously whing about stuff like this? I would just laugh at them if they requested I fix that.

You have to draw a line somewhere surely.
