Just a thought after my afternoon nap, do people use collectable appreciating cars as part of a wealth strategy?

Was just going over some future retirement figures and everyway i calculate things, tax eats a lot of the profits. So thinking to minimise or get around it, owning collectable appreciating cars in ones name can be beneficial, and tax free when selling.

This thing is fast too. Hatch backs faster than 10 year old Supercars, amazing. Can't wait till the new megane rs is released.

I'd like to see Nissan release an updated 180B SSS Coupe in Fire Red...say a 4wd turbo variant...

So, would that be the buyer or the seller?

Depending on your answer, I would be surprised that a deal was done/not done...

I've owned this thing for 14-15 years I think, haven't driven it or worked on it in 8 years or so I reckon. It's my "one day" car, one day I'll strip down and fix up all the dodgy work I did on it back in the day.

This was 2 weeks ago coming up to my new house, first time it had moved in a loooooooong time

Always liked the 31, I appreciate them more nowadays as a road car when seen.

@Ted Varrick I was at that auction. The guy who eventually got the plate was never going to let anyone else get it. He just kept outbidding the other 2 bidders immediately until they gave up. When the hammer went down, the entire place went bananas with cheers. Was quite tense while they were fighting it out. I wonder what car they will go on? :D

IMG_4833.PNG IMG_4832.PNG IMG_4830.PNG IMG_4829.PNG Ok thoughts on this as a daily driver? Only concern is maintenance when things go wrong but engine is usually pretty sound. 2004-2006 models e55 amg w211. Falls into my budget as a new daily driver, the power is phenomenal. Driven a tuned one a few times and I'm pinned back into the seat the whole time, and it's so comfortable and smooth.

Tune, pulley and exhaust sees over 500rw hp. Silver or black?

Hi Chylld, I take it that is SSC taking your wheels to Wakefield for LOTD? Did you come down to Vic for Lotus2017?
Currently tossing up whether to keep mine or swap for one of the last V8 redline's as new baby makes Lotus difficult to justify as can't take us all. Any thoughts? Hmmm

Good list and I agree, the Porsche 911 listed has been my favourite looking gt3rs to date, love it, want it. This low interest rate environment has pushed desirebale cars up in price, in many cases better returns than property, and no tax when selling...bonus.
