My competition class (WTAC Clubsprint) says the wing can be as wide as the car... so it's 1854mm :D

Front aero is still in the design stage (car is undergoing a full CFD program) so until it's ready we'll keep it fully backed off. Out of interest though, this is what it looks like at 8 degrees:

The advertisement seems to have to spend alot of time telling you how rare the car is. Apparently it's in recognition of Porche achievements in a race I've never heard of either.

Rare doesnt mean collectable, demand out stripping supply does.
Anyone with their eye on original 90s JDM vehicles will attest to that right now.

Easiest way to see if it helps solve your rear traction issue is max angle, then back off from there. Most drivers won’t be able to even notice the wing at max attack anyhow.

Can import them, cheaper than buying them here, mate of mine just got an NSX, landed for $70K all up - helps to have a contact in Japan though

The wait for this GR Yaris is starting to get frustrating. Who would have thought it would be this hard to get a Yaris. When I put the deposit down I was told Feb build with a March delivery. Last month I get told March build with April delivery. Today I’m told they haven’t yet got a confirmed build date and it could delay further.

I am not very patient and want my new toy now. I even told the dealer if they have buyer who has a car arriving soon and is willing to wait an extra month or two, I would offer them a $1000 dollars or two to swap allocation.

Tempted to grab a new Landcruiser 200 (either GX or GXL) whilst they are still available and secure one of the last 4.5 twin turbo V8s.

It is a lot of money though and my current car does the job. The 200 would tow the 2.5T boat much easier though and more capacity so I could upgrade the boat down the track (if I got the new 200 I would do pre-rego GVM upgrade and BTC upgrade to 4T).

I could always sell it in the future and down grade, probably won't lose much money.

Wonder what's going on there, I've only seen a handful on the road too.

No Idea. I have personally only seen 1 on the road and that was this week. They said something about demand being high, but that makes no sense. Thing is they still don't have the built date showing in the system, that's what I am being told anyway.
Its not that I am in urgent need of the car but waiting is no fun. Surely they would have a customer with more patients who would swap and give me their earlier allocation for say $2k?

I think the challenge there is that they could just settle the sale and make more selling it on the open market.

Seen probably half a dozen on them on road, had a couple settle via finance. Pretty cool car!

Yes they could make more selling on the open market, but I’m only looking for an allocation swap and they can make an easy $2k and still get the car just a month or two later. They could still then sell the car and make the open market profit.

I’ll just have to wait my turn I guess. :(

Gave the Supra a good run with the new wing at SMP. Only got a couple of sessions in before the rain fell, but I could immediately tell that the previously front-heavy / oversteery bias has been cured with the rear aero. Lacking a bit of front grip on high-speed corner exits, but I expect that will be fixed once the front splitter goes on.

Lot of Japanese cars are actually cheaper in Australia than in Japan (NSX might be Japan due to low supply in Australia). Though prices in Australia are catching up but usually will be lower (Aus cars are generally poorer in condition with higher mileage and the whole export scene isnt built here). NZ is even cheaper due to their higher supply (laxed import rules) but then again they have similar if not worse condition (South Island kept cars)

I'm not sure I agree with that, can you give me an example of a make and model?
*Must admit I'm referring to late 80's, 90's and early 00's cars*
Japanese performance cars were typically always cheaper in Japan hence why late 90's early 2000's there were heaps of import dealerships here, importing japanese cars to sell to the aussie market, they wouldn't be doin it if there was no profit, we only got limited numbers of pretty much all jap performance cars of that era here, some were never even sold here direct and had to be imported. And the one's that were Australian delivered demand a premium over the imported ones from japan.
