Haha. That’s all I need. I can’t imagine they will have trouble moving them if they find themselves with a spare car.

Looks like I got myself a black GR Yaris. Toyota in Campbelltown has come through and found me an allocation. Spoke to the first dealer I put a deposit with this morning and they confirmed they will return my deposit. Scheduled for a March delivery.
Was no easy feat. Called a number of dealers with no luck, before finding these guys who had a customer that pulled out of an order.
@Empire , you might have to collect a commission from Toyota on this one. You putting that video got me to go look at one.

Congratulations mate. If there's a PC coffee and cars meet up I'll look forward to seeing it. Enjoy the waiting game :)

I wonder how this will go. There are enough car enthusiasts with money in WA for it to fly but to my knowledge every one of these subscription type car memberships (Supercar Club etc) have failed in AUS. This is a level above so quite a substantial commitment!

    PS: You are hilarious @Big A :)

Ok, so a mechanic says our car (from 2006) is very hard to repair.

So, looking for a car (or perhaps SUV) with:
    Lane keep assistance
    Driver fatigue detection
    Dual zone climate control
Automatic Emergency braking (detection of vehicles of people or cars etc in front)
Flat folding rear seats so the rear space is at least 1.75 m long to fit a push bike. Note: Flat folding is wanted - rear seats in some vehicles don’t fold flat
    5 star safety ANCAP
    Fuel efficiency
    Cruise control
    Nice looking
    Option to add tow bar
    Rear parking camera
Vehicle not susceptible to paint issues

    Nice to have
Rear hatch that opens with a wave of a foot
    Plentiful USB ports

    Lower price
    Vehicle not too long

Just ordered X5 30D for the missus today and will finalise M550i order by Tuesday. Both January builds provided Covid19 doesn’t put a spanner in the works.
The M550i is specced like this but 669M wheels (from M-Performance catalogue)...mocha Nappa interior, comfort seats etc. Might be the last chance I get for a full sized turbo v8 sedan. I’ll need to hold off the 992 until I’ve got a 3rd garage.

I think I’m going to have to change my name from Car Tart to Car cupcake. I sold my Mazda Familia turbo rally car, Mercedes 350SL and 300D at last month’s Lloyds auction and my last motorcycle is at this weekend’s auction. I’ve decided not to buy anything until the extra 4 garages are built at home so this could be the longest stretch without buying a car in recent memory.

The ultimate German sedan imo! Massive performance and luxury still with excellent ride and none of the boy racer stuff that usually comes with this performance

That’s exactly it. My bloke at BMW ; would you consider the M5 ? ....Nope.

I’ll be getting another car for track fun in the future...it’s not an 1800kg sedan.

Took the Supra to Luddenham Raceway last Friday to test out the new Bilstein coilovers... the car is even more of a weapon now! Set a PB of 50.558, almost 2 whole seconds faster than my full aero, 480hp Lotus Exige

Mine is the silver one; had a couple of friends there with their red & yellow ones. 2 more friends have since bought Supras after realising how fast they are on track.

Can't wait to take it back to Wakefield where I did a 1:05.6 before the suspension went in.

That's exactly why I opted for the Yaris. Low key Hairdressers car with rally car performance. :D

    P.s. Sarcastic post. :p

1:08s stock, 1:05s with tune and A052 street tyres (not semi-slicks or anything like that.)
Smiles per $ are immense, and the aftermarket is just brimming with choices... polar opposite of my Lotus ownership experience!

Nice work on those lap times.
Serious question - where does the Supra make time over the Lotus Exige?
Usually it is HP down straights but the lighter/lower car will usually make up time under brakes and corners.
Is the Supra ‘tune’ a fair way past 480HP?
Certainly you‘ve saved a few $ towards upgrades so enjoy!

Thanks. Surprisingly the Supra makes up the time in the corners... it has far less understeer especially mid-corner and exit. Similar "fast street" tyres but very different sizes; the Lotus ran 215 RE-71R while the Supra runs 255 A052. The Lotus chassis is also generally very unforgiving.

    Supra currently has about 420whp for 1540kg = 272whp/tonne
    Exige with TVS1900 had ~350whp for 1060kg = 330whp/tonne

Yes the cost of buying and building the Supra is approx what I sold the Exige for, but the Supra is immensely more fun to drive and is helping me become a better driver, plus the aftermarket is just bonkers compared to Lotus.
