Sounds like an absolute bargain for someone with limited taste and an intense desire to flaunt their wealth.

My aunt married a young man who was brought up in a grand old house on Hamilton Hill. I know it had a ballroom and library and was a beautiful, grand old timber house. This uncle was given an MG for his 21st birthday, so the family had some money.

Years ago, we drove through all the streets in this expensive area, trying to find the house. My mother couldn't remember the street address, but would have recognised the house. We couldn't find it, and we've always thought that it was very likely to be one of the old houses that Skase bought in order to demolish and build his mansion.

Looking at the mansion, and having been told how beautiful and grand the old house was, I think it is such a shame that those historic houses were lost. I don't know how it came about that they were allowed to be removed?

i dont think Lady Flo would have let Sir Joe be up a dark side street talking to a well dressed self employed business Lady late at night in the valley ,but they may have leveled the riverside skase site,..

It was different world back then in QLD. So many historically significant buildings disappeared in the middle of the night.

Didn't you go on an epic world tour recently? We request a full report in the living room.
