    Greetings all,

I have an IP on a main road and am thinking about leasing the front fence as advertising space. Just reaching out if anyone is currently doing this and would like to share their experience regarding pros, cons and viability.

    Cheers.

Read your LEP, DCP & zoning - you could get lucky eg permissible with consent or strike out as prohibited development.

I have been involved in Rotary Club fund raising events were we have advertised with signs in gardens. In that Victorian Council (Wyndham City) you needed to make a planning application for the sign even if it was only for a month for a charitable event.
For anyone planning this sort of charitable event strangely enough if the sign is on a school fence it doesn't need a permit. . . . so get friendly with the local schools!
