    Is the lease preparation fee always paid 50/50 between owner & tenant or owners sometimes pay 100% of it?

    Always 50/50 split unless the tenant is in breach of the lease

    In NSW the owner bears the full lease preparation costs for resi, in retail each pausbtheir own legals and commercial the tenant generally pays all costs.

    Some states it isn't legal to charge tenant anything (VIC).
