Just looking at sprucing up an old laundry in my ppor to keep wifey happy.

    Want to install a splashback.

Laundry has brown exposed brick veneer wall behind benches and trough,

Thought about trying a simple white tile but would mean covering the brickwork with a render base.

I think they call it Thinset in the States. I dont mind this option as I would take it slowly.

Are there any other Bunnings options (Cheaper/Easier). Ie some composite/plastic.

ATM am not too worried as will probably reno at later date.

You could consider some type of board, cut to size and glue to the wall then tile with cheap white tiles. I have even cut the board to size then tiled it then stuck it to the wall depending on the size...

What's stopping you tiling directly to the bricks?

Nothing stopping me from tiling over brick.
Just need a bit of info.
Is there a render or concrete mix at bunnings to put on the brickwork as a base before laying tiles? Is that the method?

    Cheers
