There is a story in the Australian today. Corporate regulator ASIC reminds Landlords and Property Managers that they cannot provide financial advice without a financial services licence. I.e. they cannot tell tenants to use super or give advice on how to fund rents.

Tentants who has received such emails should contact ASIC and the property manager's licencing body.
