Long time ago, the threshold for land tax in Queensland is land area of less than 600m2. Now, I have just read State Revenue Office website, and found the threshold for land tax is $600K of land value. Has it changed recently?

No change for locals, there are changes for those living overseas.

QLD LT threshold has always been a $xxxx basis and never in my knowledge been a exempt meterage. This would allow a prime block to be exempt same as any low value land. All taxpayers are given a uniform exempt value and the total of taxable land is reduced by the tax free threshold so a single constant applies to each taxpayer.
